On Friday 19th January, we joined in with the Scottish celebrations at The Marriott Grosvenor Square in the heart of London, to mark Burns Night and raise money for Make Some Noise.
For the third year running, we were thrilled to be chosen as the official charity for the night, and once again, guests dug deep, helping to bring this year’s grand total to an incredible £93,374!
We were delighted to be joined by Allison from The Children’s Liver Disease Foundation, who spoke about the life-changing work of her charity with Heart’s Jenni Falconer. They are just one of the special small charities we’re proud to be supporting this year.
Guests were treated to a wee shot of whisky to toast the haggis, followed by a three-course meal and an exciting live auction. The entertainment was brilliant – an intense sword dance kept guests on the edge of the seats before the star attraction, Drums and Roses, a bagpipe and drum rock group, took to the stage to make sure guests hit the dance floor.
Thank you to everyone who came along to the Marriott Business Council Burns Night and supported Global’s Make Some Noise – we hope you had a fabulous evening!
