With the help of our supporters, this year Global’s Make Some Noise is changing over 21,000 lives in communities across the UK.
We are funding projects that are helping those facing life’s toughest challenges, including providing 2880 hours of physiotherapy for pre-school children with physical disabilities or delay and 1800 specialist counselling sessions for people bereaved by suicide. We are also supporting 150 children in paediatric intensive care, and their families through music therapy, and offering vital support for 540 people who have been devastated by baby loss.
The cost-of-living crisis has led to many charities seeing an increase in demand for their services from struggling families at a time when their income is dropping and the cost of delivering these services is increasing. 92% of the charities we spoke to have seen an increase in need for support in the last year. Over half said that they have had to turn people away, refer them on or add them to a waiting list, with one charity reporting a waiting list of over 1,000 young people who could not access the vital support they needed.
Global’s Make Some Noise have helped small charities change over 200,000 lives over the last 10 years but it is getting harder for these amazing projects to keep up with the number of people who rely on them every day, we need your help to make sure that nobody is left facing life’s toughest challenges alone.
We still need people to donate now.
Help us to be here for people like Seb.
At their 20 week scan, Seb’s parents Jen and Robin found out that their baby had a serious heart condition. Once baby Seb was born, he was rushed in to have two life-saving operations in the first two weeks of his life. He is now growing stronger everyday with his new heart. Since diagnosis, the family found support in small charity Tiny Tickers. Helping them to feel less alone.
“We would have been lost without Tiny Tickers’ support. This is a charity that really changes people’s lives and one which we are so grateful to have found in the darkest of times.”
