He’s done it! Spencer Matthews has completed the challenge of his lifetime; having run 30 marathons in 30 days across the desert in the peak of summer.
Spencer has completed his challenge to set a world record whilst fundraising for Global’s Make Some Noise. 30 marathons in 30 days, across the desert in Jordan. Well done Spencer!
With soaring temperatures that exceeded over 40 degrees in places, and scorching sun, Spencer ran the equivalent of 5 x The Marathon Des Sables (known as the toughest footrace on the planet). That’s a total of 786 miles!
This is an official Guinness World Record achievement for “the most consecutive marathons run on sand”, which made it even more difficult.
