In May 2024, Tina Hobley took on a truly treacherous challenge – the Selvaggio Blu trek in Sardinia.
The route took Tina along the rugged coastline of Sardinia. While it’s said to be absolutely beautiful, it is going to be one of the hardest things Tina has ever attempted.
Tina trained hard to be ready for this – traversing the face of a cliff, abseiling a 100m sheer drop and more. She didn’t sleep in a nice bed either, but instead pitched out under the stars each night.
Some people say this is one of the toughest treks in Europe, others say it’s one of the hardest in the world.
Tina did this to raise money and awareness for Smooth’s official charity, Global’s Make Some Noise.
Global’s Make Some Noise change lives by supporting small charities delivering vital services across the UK, including food banks, mental health support, domestic violence helplines, community projects and more. Making sure nobody is left facing life’s toughest challenges alone.
These charities are seeing an increase in demand for their services, from families that are struggling. For the charities people are turning to, incomes are dropping, but the cost of providing their vital services is increasing. It is getting harder for these amazing projects to keep up with the number of people who rely on them every day.
